We are so grateful to everyone who participated in the finale Jam and parades of the 2025 season! Palmisano Park was a beautiful night, the Moon was marvelous, the rhythms were remarkable, and the fire was fantastic! We want to thank the Chicago Park District Night Out In The Park program for all its support over the past 10 years!

HALLOWEEN PARADES A WET SUCCESS!

The Arts In The Dark & Haunted Halsted Halloween Parades were a little wet, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits! We had an incredible time and would like to thank Luma8, the Northalsted Business Alliance, and all the performers and volunteers who helped make it happen!

DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY

The Full Moon Jam Foundation is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit arts organization that relies heavily on grants to host our annual events, like the Winter Workshops, the Full Moon Jams, and Fire Safety Trainings. These grants often request specifics on what our community engagement looks like. Data gathered by the demographic survey linked below will help us answer these questions in future grant applications, enabling us to keep our events free to attend, expand our Flow Arts educational programming, and better serve the needs of our community.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could take 5 minutes to complete the brief FMJ Demographic Survey:

WINTER WORKSHOP 2025-2026

ree

Thanks to a grant provided by the Chicago Park District, Chicago Full Moon Jam will be hosting two Winter Workshops on December 13th, 2025, and April 11th, 2026. Unfortunately, due to a funding shortfall, we will only be able to host two workshops this year.

These daytime all-ages flow workshops will be held at various Park District Fieldhouses and will be free to attend! There is a $20 suggested donation, which can be made on the Full Moon Jam website or via Zelle (by sending it to info@fullmoonjam.org).

RECAP OF CONSENT ROUNDTABLE

Before the August 3rd Reserve Jam, the FMJ hosted a roundtable for all members of the community to discuss how our events can best prioritize consent and safety. This roundtable was an open conversation surrounding how to build awareness of consent in the FMJ community and improve the board's reporting and response protocols. Attendees believed that the jam does a commendable job cultivating a culture of consent overall, and discussed how we might better integrate our expectations surrounding consent to performers and audience members. We discussed challenges regarding reporting incidents and reviewing violations, and posed the question of how the board can best communicate its capabilities and create an official, formal reporting procedure that does not open the FMJ up to considerable risk. We also shared outside groups that provide further resources and assistance, including the Transformative Justice Help Desk, the Center of Conflict Resolution Chicago, and Transform Harm.

Q3 BOARD MEETING MINUTE NOTES

In the spirit of transparency, we have uploaded our most recent Quarter 3 meeting from 2025. We invite the community to stay up to date on the latest discussions and developments of the Full Moon Jams, and we hope to encourage more people to get involved and propose new ways to help improve our events and reach new audiences and communities.

I've been "playing with fire" for the last 3 years. I was introduced to FMJ by Lorca Jolene and Shaul Guererro and took fire classes from Thomas Santiago. I love the FMJ events and enjoy interacting with FMJ performers. I have a few ideas for future projects connecting burlesque with fire.
